The challenge
An almanac of the river had to hold tide tables, recipes and ferry timetables without feeling like a timetable. The budget allowed two colours and uncoated paper.
The approach
We drew one grid for all three kinds of content and let the second colour carry the tides. Proofs were printed at actual size every Friday, so nothing surprised the printer.
